Professional and Educational Background
Sarah TenBroek is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. She earned her Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University and her Bachelor of Social Work from Calvin College. Sarah has more than 14 years of mental health counseling experience in a variety of settings including domestic violence services, transitional housing, a college counseling center and private practice.
Sarah works from a strengths-based perspective and uses an integrative approach, based on personal needs, in working with clients. She uses a variety of evidence-based techniques that include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and narrative therapy.
Sarah believes that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership that empowers individuals to gain new insights into their lives and assists them to make changes that improve wellbeing. Sarah works to provide a safe, relaxed and confidential setting and address a variety of difficulties and concerns.
